Aike Hillbrands is Co-Founder and CTO at Kombo, a Y Combinator-backed unified API platform for HR, payroll, and recruiting software integrations based in Berlin. Kombo enables B2B SaaS companies to integrate with dozens of HR systems through a single API.

Aike studied Product Management and Software Engineering at CODE University of Applied Sciences and participated in Y Combinator's S22 batch. He previously worked as a Software Engineer at Orgadata AG and co-founded multiple ventures including Xoala and Pitchlane before starting Kombo in May 2022.

Aike has strong technical expertise in building scalable API infrastructure and previously founded one other company before Kombo. He leads engineering at Kombo and has been instrumental in building the company's deep technical integrations with HR platforms.

Kombo raised $3M in funding from investors including Y Combinator, 468 Capital, Acadian Ventures, and notable angels like Paul Forster (Indeed), Sultan Saidov (Beamery), and Jean Deniz Greze (Plaid). The company serves 300+ customers including Moss, Paychex, Pleo, StepStone, and Spendesk.

Kombo grew from 0 to 300+ customers in under two years and reached $7M+ ARR. The company has expanded to 35+ employees and provides integrations across 50+ HR, ATS, and payroll systems in multiple countries.
