Akira Tong is Co-Founder and CTO at Arga Labs (YC P26), the validation infrastructure platform for AI agents, providing on-demand production-like staging environments for every pull request.
Akira skipped high school, graduated from the University of British Columbia at 19 with a CS and Business degree, and previously worked as a Software Development Engineer at Stripe and a quantitative analyst at Goldman Sachs.
While interning at Stripe, Akira identified that high-fidelity staging mirroring production was the key to unlocking developer productivity, a gap that became the foundation of Arga Labs.
At Stripe, Akira gained deep insight into integration complexity and testing bottlenecks, and was also a professional player for the game Identity V, demonstrating a competitive, high-performance mindset.
Arga Labs, backed by Y Combinator (P26 batch), enables engineering teams to spin up twins of integrations like Slack and Stripe, allowing AI agents to automatically test, validate, and fix code changes before any human review.
