Alex Maffeo is the CEO and Founder of Boost Insurance, the leading infrastructure platform for MGAs, insurtechs, independent brokers and agents, and embedded insurance providers, transforming how insurance businesses are built and scaled.

Alex earned a BA from Columbia University and spent nearly a decade at IA Capital Group, rising from Analyst to Principal and focusing on venture and growth capital investments in fintech and insurtech.

Drawing on his VC experience, Alex recognized that new insurance ventures faced glacial go-to-market timelines and a lack of infrastructure, which became the core problem Boost was built to solve.

Prior to Boost, Alex served as a Board Member at HedgeCoVest and Board Observer at both Snapsheet and Financeit, building deep expertise across fintech, specialty finance, and insurance technology.

Since launching its first program in 2019, Boost has underwritten approximately $200 billion in coverage, raised over $37M in funding, and secured a major private equity investment from BHMS Investments in 2024 to fuel its next phase of growth.
