Alexander Essle is the Founder of functionSPACE, an onchain protocol building open infrastructure for pricing and trading numerical outcomes, positioning itself at the frontier of decentralized financial markets.

Alexander holds an MSc in Business Analytics and Management from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and brings an engineering background forged through co-founding a student team that built and tested a person-carrying electric co-axial helicopter.

Alexander entered the crypto space in 2017 during the ICO boom and has since developed deep expertise in blockchain, fintech, and on-chain financial infrastructure, giving him a rare dual lens as both builder and capital allocator.

Prior to founding functionSPACE, Alexander served as a venture investor at Maven 11 Capital starting in early 2024, leading investments into projects including Credit Coop, Valinor, August, Atum, and Corbits across the DeFi and fintech landscape.

functionSPACE raised $1.7M in pre-seed funding led by Maven 11 Capital with participation from Blockwall and Smape Capital, targeting the emerging market for onchain information and pricing markets that go beyond binary event outcomes.
