Alexander studied Biochemistry at the University of Nottingham, then served as a Policy Advisor and Economy Spokesman at HM Treasury before entering the private sector.
Alexander previously founded Cuckoo, a national challenger broadband provider that was successfully exited to the Octopus family, and continues to serve as a Reservist with the UK Ministry of Defence.
Isembard has raised a $9M Seed round led by Notion Capital and a $50M Series A led by Union Square Ventures, with backing from Tamarack Global, IQ Capital, and notable angels including the founder of Deel.
Isembard is targeting 25 new factories by end of 2026 across the UK, Europe, and the United States, competing in a component manufacturing market worth $1.8 trillion annually.
