Alexander Halpern is Co-Founder of Dream (YC S26), building pocket-sized, battery-powered AI cameras that automatically capture assets and flag damage at car dealerships, equipment rental companies, and fleets.
Alexander studied Computer Science at the University of Virginia, where he was part of the elite Rodman Scholars Program recognizing the top 5% of engineering students.
Alexander was accepted into the IBM Accelerate Program, placing in the top 5% of over 10,000 applicants, and contributed to wildlife conservation AI at Panthera, designing edge-camera models deployed in Africa and India to detect poachers.
Prior to Dream, Alexander built AI agents for AWS Marketplace at Amazon and trained TinyML object detection models for real-time anti-poaching cameras deployed across Nepal, Gabon, and Vietnam.
Dream is backed by Y Combinator (S26) and serves asset-intensive industries by creating 3D condition records for every vehicle or machine, giving operators a single source of truth to eliminate costly undocumented damage.
