Alexzendor Misra is Co-Founder and CTO at Shofo (YC W26), an AI video dataset platform that builds complete pipelines to collect, segment, sanitize, and label videos from across social media for AI labs. Shofo is backed by Y Combinator and based in San Francisco.
Misra studied Computer Science at UC Santa Barbara before dropping out to pursue Shofo full-time. He previously founded Correkt, an AI search engine focused on multimodal content that reached over 43,000 users before pivoting to become Shofo.
Misra started building AI products as a second-year student at UCSB in 2022, driven by a passion to solve AI misinformation and ethics challenges. The Shofo team met while building Correkt and brings together expertise in AI, statistics, and data science.
Shofo was founded in 2025 alongside co-founders Andre Braga, Braiden Dishman, and Bryan Hong, and is part of the Y Combinator Winter 2026 batch. The company has built the largest index of short-form videos and runs end-to-end pipelines for custom training datasets.
Shofo enables AI labs to access high-quality, segmented video data for computer vision applications, including hand-object interactions and activity detection. The team previously scaled Correkt to over 40,000 users and 180 million data sources before pivoting to video datasets.
