Alison Quinn is Co-Founder and CEO of Respiro Diagnostics, a UK-based medtech startup pioneering breath-based liquid biopsy technology for the early, non-invasive detection of lung cancer and other respiratory diseases.

Alison studied at the University of St. Andrews and built her career as a commercial leader in life sciences, gaining deep expertise in healthcare product development, go-to-market strategy, and bringing health products from the lab into hospitals.

Alison co-founded Respiro Diagnostics alongside Dr. Theo Issitt, combining her commercial acumen with his deep scientific expertise in breath diagnostics to bridge cutting-edge research with real-world clinical delivery.

Under Alison's leadership, Respiro secured a £1M pre-seed round led by Zinc Venture Capital and SFC Capital, with participation from Amadeus Capital Partners, the Conception X Angel Syndicate, KQ Labs through the Francis Crick Institute, and Innovate UK.

Respiro has completed proof-of-concept testing in mesothelioma patients, filed a patent for its breath collection device, and is set to launch its first lung cancer clinical study at Aalborg University Hospital in Denmark in September 2026.
