Amir Hozez is Co-Founder and CTO at PointFive, an AI-powered cloud and infrastructure efficiency platform helping enterprises eliminate cloud waste and dramatically reduce costs through proprietary DeepWaste detection technology.
Amir studied at Bar-Ilan University and served in Israel's elite Unit 8200, before going on to co-found IntSights, a cybersecurity threat intelligence company acquired by Rapid7 for approximately $335 million in 2021, where he served as VP of Research and Development.
Drawing on over a decade of cybersecurity research, Amir applies threat-hunting methodologies to cloud cost optimization, treating cloud inefficiency the way security teams treat attack vectors, with continuous detection and systematic remediation.
At IntSights, Amir and his co-founders scaled the company to over $30 million in ARR and hundreds of enterprise customers before the Rapid7 acquisition; the experience of managing cloud operations post-acquisition directly inspired PointFive's founding in 2023.
PointFive has raised $96 million across three funding rounds (including a $60M Series B led by Accel), grown ARR sixfold between 2024 and 2025, and counts Nubank, Hertz, Fanatics, and NICE among its enterprise customers, delivering average cloud savings of 30%.
