Ammar Amdani is Co-Founder of Tab, a personal AI assistant that operates directly through iMessage and WhatsApp, executing real-world tasks on behalf of users rather than simply providing instructions. Tab emerged from stealth in October 2026 at a $300 million valuation, backed by SV Angel, Valar Ventures, and American Spirit.
Ammar holds a BS in Finance and Economics from New York University, which he completed a year early, and previously scaled a consumer brand to a nine-figure run rate before pivoting to venture capital. He co-founded Adapt Ventures in 2020, an early-stage VC firm backing founders across the US and Latin America.
Ammar was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Venture Capital in 2022 and is fluent in English, Arabic, Urdu, and Spanish. His core thesis at Tab centers on trust as the defining competitive advantage in consumer AI, arguing that capability alone does not determine the winner.
Prior to Tab, Ammar served as Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Adapt Ventures, CEO of Altiam CX, Board Member at Altiam Global, and Managing Director of Corporate Development at GK Group. He also worked as an investor at Embed and Concept Ventures, focusing on fintech and enterprise software.
Tab has grown primarily through word of mouth since its founding in 2026 and operates with its own phone number, computer, and wallet to execute tasks end-to-end. The company positions itself as a trust-first AI agent, ensuring user approval before any irreversible action or payment is made.
