
Anand Balaji is Co-Founder and CEO at Xflow, a cross-border payments infrastructure platform serving over 15,000 businesses across India. Xflow raised $16.6M in Series A funding led by General Catalyst, with backing from Stripe, PayPal Ventures, Square Peg, and Lightspeed, making it the first Indian fintech backed by both Stripe and PayPal Ventures.
Prior to founding Xflow in 2021, Anand led Stripe's India business from 2016 to 2021, launching and scaling operations across the region. He also spent four years at Amazon as Head of Business Development for Amazon Mobile in India, and held strategy roles at Microsoft managing Windows India business.
Anand holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management from The Wharton School (2010) and a Computer Science degree from NIT Trichy (1999). He is an angel investor in 2 startups and serves on the board of 1 company.
Xflow received final PA-CB authorization from the Reserve Bank of India for both export and import transactions, positioning it among a handful of licensed cross-border payment aggregators. The company processed close to $1 billion in annualized payment volume in 2025, representing 10x growth year-over-year.
