Andy Li is Co-Founder and CEO of Respan, the first proactive AI observability platform that closes the loop from evaluations to production for AI agents.

Andy studied mechanical engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) before dropping out, and previously worked as a product design engineer at Apple, where he contributed to hardware design including parts for AirPods 4.

Andy champions a fully model-, vendor-, framework-, and language-agnostic approach to AI observability, believing that teams need systems that not only surface what went wrong but proactively drive fixes in production.

Andy co-founded Respan (formerly Keywords AI) in 2023 alongside Raymond Huang and Hendrix Liu, going through Y Combinator Winter 2024, and has grown the platform to serve 100+ AI startups and enterprise teams with more than 8x revenue growth year-over-year in 2025.

Respan now processes over 1 billion logs and 2 trillion tokens every month, supporting 6.5 million end users, and raised $5M in seed funding from Gradient, Y Combinator, Hat-Trick Capital, and others.
