Ankit Kumar is Co-Founder and CEO of Emphere, a Seattle-based cybersecurity startup automating software vulnerability patching for companies operating in regulated industries.

Ankit earned a Master's degree in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity from Northeastern University, where he met his co-founder Pallav Gupta, and went on to spend over six years securing Uber's global container infrastructure.

Ankit's frontline experience as a security enforcer at Uber gave him a firsthand view of the painful gap between vulnerability detection and remediation, inspiring him to build the automated fix layer the industry has long been missing.

After his tenure at Uber, Ankit joined the AI2 Incubator in Seattle, where he refined the Emphere concept before raising a $2.1M pre-seed round co-led by AI2 Incubator and Outsiders Fund.

Emphere has secured early revenue and a growing roster of signed customers, targeting the $60,000+ annual vulnerability surge projected for 2026 by patching open-source container images developers already use.
