Anshul Verma is Co-Founder of Asimov (YC W26), a data infrastructure company collecting real-world human movement data to train the next generation of humanoid robots.
Anshul studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley, conducted ML research at the Berkeley AI Research (BAIR) lab, and held software engineering roles at Scale AI and Amazon.
Anshul identified that humanoid robots face a critical data bottleneck: unlike language and image models, robots are starting from scratch with almost no diverse, real-world training data at scale.
Prior to Asimov, Anshul and co-founder Lyem Ningthou previously built a startup together that reached six figures in revenue, demonstrating their ability to execute from zero to traction.
Asimov has deployed proprietary collection hardware across a network of thousands of contributors in households, restaurants, and factories, and is already supplying the largest robotics labs in the world with thousands of hours of human movement data daily.
