Anton Wenemoser is Co-Founder of CoMaps, a community-driven, free and open-source offline navigation app built on OpenStreetMap data that prioritizes user privacy, transparency, and not-for-profit values.

Based in Barcelona, Spain, Anton has a strong analytical background and trained at leading tech bootcamps Le Wagon and Ironhack, while also volunteering in humanitarian mapathons to improve maps for relief missions.

Anton co-founded CoMaps in 2025 alongside Bastian Greshake Tzovaras, forking the Organic Maps codebase to address governance and community concerns and build a truly community-led navigation platform.

Prior to CoMaps, Anton was an active contributor to the open-source mapping ecosystem, participating in OpenStreetMap mapathons and working within the Organic Maps contributor community before leading the fork.

CoMaps surpassed 100K downloads within its first year of launch, earned a 4.7/5 App Store rating, and played a real-world humanitarian role guiding rescue teams during the Venezuela earthquake response in 2026 in partnership with the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT).
