Arun Vinayak is Co-Founder and CEO at Exponent Energy, a pioneering EV rapid charging technology company that enables 15-minute full charges for electric vehicles. He built his first vehicle at age 16 and graduated with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras.

Arun spent seven years as Ather Energy's Founding Partner and Chief Product Officer, helping build India's first vertically integrated electric two-wheeler ecosystem. He co-founded Exponent Energy in October 2020 to solve critical energy challenges in commercial EVs.

Arun has over a decade of experience in India's EV sector and is an angel investor in one startup. He serves on the board of one company and is recognized as a battery technology expert.

Exponent Energy raised $47.2M across multiple funding rounds from investors including Eight Roads Ventures, TDK Ventures, Lightspeed India, and 3one4 Capital. The company has deployed over 160 charging stations across four cities and powers 2,500+ EVs.

Exponent Energy's proprietary technology has completed over 60,000 rapid charging sessions covering 3+ million kilometers. The company targets deploying 1,000 charging stations and 25,000 EVs by 2025, with plans to reach INR 600 crore in revenue.
