Arya Grayeli is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientist at Sapien, an AI-native platform building autonomous coworkers for finance professionals, helping CFOs and their teams make smarter capital allocation decisions.
Arya attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Northern Virginia before enrolling at the University of Texas at Austin, where he took PhD-level machine learning courses as an undergraduate before dropping out to co-found Sapien.
Inspired by his father, an investment advisor, Arya recognized early on that repetitive finance workflows were ripe for automation, channeling that insight into Sapien's core mission.
Arya previously conducted research at Trishul Lab as a PhD Researcher, deepening his expertise in machine learning and AI systems before co-founding Sapien alongside Ron Nachum and Pranav Ravella.
Sapien raised an $8.7M seed round led by General Catalyst, and its platform has already helped clients like Odeko unlock $6M in profit and enabled teams to save over 30 hours per week through AI-driven financial analysis.
