
Ashton Cofer is Co-Founder and CTO at Fizz, a Gen Z social media platform connecting college students across 700+ campuses. He dropped out of Stanford University in 2021 to build Fizz full-time.
Ashton won the 2016 Google Science Fair Innovator Award at age 14 for developing a method to convert Styrofoam waste into activated carbon. His TED talk on perseverance has received over 55 million views and he was selected as a Coca-Cola Scholar.
Ashton was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and holds patents for his environmental inventions. He competed in FIRST Robotics and exhibited at the White House Science Fair before attending Stanford.
Fizz has raised over 41 million dollars in funding from investors including Owl Ventures and NEA. The platform is now active at over 700 college campuses with more than 27 million posts shared to date.
Under Ashton's technical leadership, Fizz has become the number one Gen Z app for college life with features including anonymous posting, marketplace, and community moderation. The platform helps combat student loneliness and builds authentic campus connections.
