Ashok Agarwal is the Founder, MD and CEO of GreenCell Mobility Private Ltd, India's pioneering Electric Mobility-as-a-Service (eMaaS) platform backed by the Green Growth Equity Fund (GGEF), a collaboration between the governments of India and the UK.

Ashok holds an MBA from IIT Kharagpur and a BE (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering (Gold Medalist) from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur, and built a distinguished 20-year career spanning FMCG, telecom, and infrastructure before founding GreenCell.

Prior to GreenCell, Ashok served as Director and CEO of Smart City, Infra and Utility Business at Essel Infraprojects Ltd (Essel/Zee Group) for 7 years, overseeing SBUs in roads, solar energy, airports, and municipal utilities across India.

He also held senior national leadership roles at Etisalat DB Telecom, Reliance Communications, and Bharti Airtel, and began his career as a Sales Manager at The Coca-Cola Company, giving him rare cross-sector expertise in operations, distribution, and scale.

Under Ashok's founding leadership, GreenCell grew into India's largest OEM-agnostic electric bus platform, deploying over 1,200 electric buses and 270 charging stations across India, and attracting institutional investors including IFC, British International Investment, and Tata Capital.
