
Balazs Nagy is CEO and Co-Founder of TYTAN Technologies, a Munich-based deep-tech defense company developing AI-powered counter-drone interceptor systems to protect European skies and critical infrastructure.
Balazs holds a master's degree in aerospace engineering from Technical University of Munich (TUM), where he founded the student group HORYZN and led the development of eVTOL rescue drones. In 2014, he was awarded Hungary's Best Student and Best Athlete by the Hungarian state.
TYTAN has secured strategic partnerships with major European defense companies including HENSOLDT, KNDS, and DEUTZ, and has confirmed orders from Ukraine and the German Bundeswehr. The company opened its new Munich headquarters and production facility in January 2026.
Since founding TYTAN in 2023 with co-founder Batuhan Yumurtaci, the company raised a 30M Euro Series A in February 2026 co-led by Armira and NATO Innovation Fund, bringing total funding to 46M Euro. TYTAN's Interceptor-S system has been battlefield-tested and showcased during the Bundeswehr's Experimentalserie Land in fall 2025.
TYTAN is building Europe's next-generation air defense architecture with scalable, software-defined, and networked counter-UAS systems. The company is scaling manufacturing across Germany, Ukraine, and allied markets to deliver thousands of METIS interceptor drones and AI-based command-and-control infrastructure.
