Band Zhao holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore (2019-2022) and co-founded dtcpay in 2019 alongside Alice Liu to bridge the gap between digital assets and traditional finance.

Band Zhao serves as Group Chairman overseeing strategic initiatives globally and concurrently as CEO of dtcpay Luxembourg, leading the company's regulated expansion into the European Economic Area.

Under his co-leadership, dtcpay secured a Major Payment Institution license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and received the Fintech Mentor Award at the Singapore Fintech Festival 2024, reflecting his influence in the regional fintech ecosystem.

dtcpay has raised $10M in Series A funding led by Vertex Ventures, holds licenses across Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, the US, Canada, and Luxembourg, and is positioned to serve over 450 million consumers across Europe.
