
Banghua Zhu is Co-Founder and CTO of RadixArk, an AI infrastructure company on a mission to make frontier-level AI systems open and accessible to every developer, startup, and enterprise.
Banghua earned his B.S. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University and his Ph.D. in EECS from UC Berkeley, where he was awarded the David Sakrison Memorial Prize for outstanding research.
A serial entrepreneur and researcher, Banghua previously co-founded Nexusflow AI in 2023 and served as a Principal Research Scientist at NVIDIA, focusing on model post-training, evaluation, and AI infrastructure.
At RadixArk, Banghua leads technical development of SGLang, an open-source inference engine serving trillions of tokens daily for Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, AMD, and xAI, alongside Miles, an open reinforcement learning framework. He is also an incoming Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, where he leads the Foundation Model and Reinforcement Learning Research Lab (FMRL2).
RadixArk launched in May 2026 with a landmark $100M seed round at a $400M valuation, backed by Accel, Spark Capital, NVIDIA, AMD, and prominent angels including co-founders of OpenAI, xAI, and Hugging Face.
