Bastien Davalos is Co-Founder and COO at Mirabelle, a French fintech pioneering reverse mortgage solutions for retirees to finance aging at home while preserving home ownership and inheritance.
Bastien studied Probability and Finance at Pierre and Marie Curie University and worked as a Fixed Income Advisory at Natixis Corporate and Investment Banking.
Bastien co-founded Mirabelle in 2022 alongside Hugo Jenny to address the financing needs of France's aging population. Mirabelle secured ACPR regulatory approval in March 2026, becoming the first independent regulated lender in France dedicated exclusively to reverse mortgages.
Mirabelle raised 1.3M euros in late 2024 and an additional 6M euros in 2026, bringing total funding to 7.3M euros. The company targets 400 clients within 18 months of commercial launch and partners with insurers, wealth managers, and health mutuals for distribution.
Mirabelle enables seniors aged 60+ to access up to 50% of their home equity without monthly repayments, addressing a critical societal need as France faces demographic transition with 26% of the population over 60 years old.
