Batu Balci is Co-Founder and CEO of TovenAI, a Y Combinator-backed AI platform automating compliance workflows for institutional trading firms. He brings rare cross-disciplinary expertise spanning quantitative finance, software engineering, and artificial intelligence.

Batu studied Computer Science at Stanford University and built his career at elite institutions, including as a Quantitative Research Engineer at Citadel's Global Quantitative Strategies group and as a Senior Software Engineer at Salesforce.

Having worked inside the high-stakes environments of hedge funds and enterprise software, Batu identified a critical gap: compliance teams at trading firms were drowning in manual, data-intensive work with no scalable solution.

TovenAI is backed by Y Combinator (S26) and already supports multiple compliance workflows at a top-10 institutional brokerage, with six AI agents live across the platform.
