
Becky Lane is Co-Founder and CEO of Furbnow, a Birmingham-based climate tech startup on a mission to decarbonise one million UK homes by making home energy retrofitting simple, accessible, and hassle-free.
Becky studied Geography at the University of Oxford and earned an MSc in Sustainability for Energy Provision and Demand Management from the University of East London, before spending years in energy and retrofit roles at Energy Systems Catapult and West Midlands Combined Authority.
A former competitive rower who represented Great Britain at the European Championships, Becky brings the same discipline and focus to entrepreneurship, and is also a qualified retrofit coordinator with deep practical knowledge of home energy upgrades.
Prior to Furbnow, Becky led the UK's first Net Zero Neighbourhood programme at West Midlands Combined Authority and served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Founders Factory, backed by Nesta's Mission Studio.
Furbnow has raised over £950,000 in pre-seed funding from SFC Capital, Norrsken Accelerator, and Innovate UK, and is rapidly scaling its end-to-end retrofit management platform to fix hundreds of UK homes and cut household energy bills.
