
Benoît Dageville is the Co-Founder and Executive Advisor at Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company he co-founded in 2012 alongside Thierry Cruanes and Marcin Zukowski, having previously served as President of Product for over a decade.
A French-born computer scientist, Benoît earned his PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Parallel Database Systems from Universite de Paris VI, and honed his expertise over 16 years at Oracle as lead architect for parallel SQL execution and the SQL Manageability group, and earlier at Bull Information Systems.
Benoît is a world-recognized expert in parallel execution and self-tuning database systems, and is a named inventor on more than 270 patents, reflecting his deep technical contributions to the data infrastructure space.
He co-founded Snowflake on the revolutionary idea of separating storage from compute in a cloud-native data warehouse, enabling independent scaling of each layer and transforming how enterprises manage and analyze data.
Snowflake went public in September 2020 in what became the largest software IPO in history, raising $3.4 billion on the NYSE under ticker SNOW, and has grown to serve thousands of organizations across finance, healthcare, retail, and technology worldwide.
