Bernardo studied at Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro and built deep roots in crypto and fintech, running a profitable Bitcoin trade desk in Brazil that generated $2M in profits over 10 months.

A Forbes Under 30 honoree in Finance, Bernardo is a firm believer that stablecoins alone do not solve cross-border payments and that regulated local bank infrastructure is the missing layer.

Prior to Trace Finance, Bernardo served as CEO of Lasting Capital (a VC and advisory firm focused on crypto and blockchain), Head of Partnerships at Transfero Swiss AG, and advisor at Mercado Bitcoin and Portal do Bitcoin.

Trace Finance has processed over $10 billion in institutional cross-border volume, serves as the primary infrastructure provider for the top 4 global payment providers in LatAm including dLocal, and has raised a total of $36.3M across a $4.3M Seed round and a $32M Series A led by CoinFund.
