Blake Wehman is the Founder and CEO of Remission Medical, a national virtual rheumatology platform that partners directly with health systems to deliver embedded specialty care across the United States.

Diagnosed with undifferentiated inflammatory arthritis at age 20, Blake channeled his personal patient journey into purpose, earning a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and gaining experience at Bon Secours Health System and Siemens Healthineers before launching Remission Medical.

Blake built Remission Medical on the conviction that health systems already have the infrastructure and patient relationships they need, but lack the specialty clinical capacity and operational backbone to scale rheumatology access effectively.

Under his leadership, Remission Medical secured a know-how agreement with Mayo Clinic in 2023 to advance algorithmic triage in rheumatology, and closed a Series A led by Blue Heron Capital in 2026 following triple-digit growth over multiple consecutive years.

Remission Medical now operates across eight major health system partners nationwide, including Sentara, Ochsner, WellSpan, and OrthoVirginia, serving the more than 54 million Americans affected by rheumatic diseases through its AI-native RemissionOS platform.
