Brogan BamBrogan is Co-Founder and CTO at Ethos Space Resources (YC S26), a lunar in-situ resource utilization company pioneering the manufacturing of silicon on the Moon to power terawatt-scale data centers and energy infrastructure in space.
BamBrogan earned a BSME from Kettering University and began his career as an engineer at Chrysler Motors and Northrop Grumman, before joining SpaceX as employee #23 in 2003 where he spent nearly a decade as Sr. Staff Engineer of Propulsion.
A serial deep-tech founder, BamBrogan holds primary design responsibility for the Kestrel upper stage engine of Falcon 1, the Dragon spacecraft heat shield, and Draco thrusters, giving him rare end-to-end hardware credibility across rockets, spacecraft, and now lunar manufacturing.
After SpaceX, BamBrogan co-founded Hyperloop One as CTO, helping raise over $130M in funding, then founded Arrivo as CEO, before co-founding Ethos Space Resources in 2022 with Ross Centers to tackle lunar infrastructure for the Artemis era.
Ethos Space Resources, now a Y Combinator S26 company, is developing self-replicating lunar silicon solar panels to break the rocket payload constraint and unlock terawatt-scale energy and compute capacity in space.
