Bruno Koba is Co-Founder and CEO at Astor, an SEC-registered AI investment advisory platform making professional financial guidance accessible to retail investors. He graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2025 and is a Y Combinator S25 alum.
Bruno was a data scientist at Nubank, where he built machine learning models to scale credit to millions of Brazilians, and later worked as a fintech investor at Monashees. He also studied at Universidade de Sao Paulo before pursuing his MBA at Stanford GSB.
Bruno obtained his Series 65 advisor license to ensure Astor operates under fiduciary duty. He grew up in Brazil, where financial advisory services are standard for all investors regardless of wealth, inspiring his mission to democratize investment advice in the U.S.
Astor raised $5M in seed funding led by Monashees, with participation from Y Combinator, Goodwater Capital, and executives from Stripe and OpenAI. The platform has attracted thousands of users and over $200 million in connected brokerage accounts since launch.
Astor addresses a critical gap where traditional advisors require $500,000 minimum assets, leaving 95% of adults under 30 without professional guidance. The platform connects directly to users' brokerage accounts and delivers personalized recommendations through conversational AI.
