Cameron McCord is Co-Founder and CEO of Nominal, a data infrastructure and AI platform that transforms how hardware engineering teams test and validate mission-critical systems across aerospace, defense, energy, and robotics.
Cameron earned a BS in Physics, Nuclear Engineering, and Political Science from MIT, an MS in Nuclear Engineering, and an MBA from Harvard Business School, before serving as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the US Navy and as a Navy Congressional Liaison in the US House of Representatives.
A Truman Scholar selected from among 587 candidates, Cameron brings rare depth across national security, venture capital, and deep tech, having been an Investor/Operator at Lux Capital and an advisor at Applied Intuition.
Prior to founding Nominal, Cameron served as Head of Defense at Saildrone and was an early operator at Anduril, giving him firsthand exposure to the data challenges facing complex hardware programs that ultimately inspired Nominal.
Nominal achieved unicorn status with a $1B valuation after raising $155M across its Series B and Series B extension led by Founders Fund and Sequoia, growing revenue 7x in 10 months and becoming the fastest-growing software platform in hardware development.
