Chad Rigetti is Co-Founder and CEO of Sygaldry Technologies, a quantum-accelerated AI infrastructure company pioneering a new class of energy-efficient servers for AI data centers.
A Canadian physicist born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Chad earned a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Regina and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Yale University, where he studied under Nobel Prize winner Michel Devoret.
At Yale, Chad developed the first all-microwave control methods for superconducting qubits, and at IBM Research built qubits with world-record performance, authoring more than 140 publications in quantum mechanics and computing.
Chad previously founded Rigetti Computing in 2013, leading it through Y Combinator, raising hundreds of millions in venture capital, and taking it public on Nasdaq via SPAC in 2022 before co-founding Sygaldry in 2024.
Sygaldry has raised $139M in combined Series A and Seed financing, with its fault-tolerant quantum-accelerated AI servers targeting the estimated $5.2 trillion in AI infrastructure capital expenditure needed by 2030.
