Charles Maddock is Co-Founder and CEO of Strawberry, a Stockholm-based agentic AI browser where AI "Companions" automate repetitive work for non-technical teams.

Charles started programming at 11, built several startups and created a PVP game called Fishards. He also worked as a Full Stack Developer at SSF Stöldskyddsföreningen.

He has been obsessed with AI agents since 2018 and began building agentic AI full-time when GPT-3.5 launched, earning the nickname "LLM-whisperer" from his team. He co-founded Strawberry with COO Sebastian Thunman and CTO Arian Hanifi.

Strawberry raised $6M in seed funding in October 2025, co-led by General Catalyst and EQT Ventures with founders of Lovable, Supabase and Hugging Face participating. Its beta launched on Product Hunt and became Product of the Day and Product of the Week.

In October 2026 Strawberry released version 1.0 for sales, recruiting, support and marketing teams, letting a trained companion be shared across a whole team. The 12-person company is reportedly preparing a Series A to expand across Europe and the US.
