Chiaowei studied at Carnegie Mellon University and built deep expertise in architectural practice before leading the BIM team at Tesla, where she delivered large-scale manufacturing and R&D facilities.

With over a decade of industry experience spanning complex healthcare projects and cutting-edge manufacturing environments, Chiaowei brings rare hands-on insight into the pain points that legacy design tools impose on architects.

After leaving Tesla, Chiaowei co-founded Illoca alongside Chin-Yi Cheng, channeling her frontline experience to build the intuitive, AI-powered interface she spent her career wishing existed.

Illoca closed a $13M Seed round led by Bessemer Venture Partners and has already partnered with global construction firm Kajima Corporation, helping reclaim the 60% of architect time lost to manual production.
