
Chris Moxham, PhD, is the Co-Founder, CEO, and Chief Scientific Officer of Transcripta Bio, a platform biotech discovering small molecule drugs using transcriptomics, advanced screening, and AI to revolutionize drug discovery.
Chris holds a B.S. in Biology from Cornell University and a doctorate in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology from Stony Brook University, launching his career at Eli Lilly where he earned multiple President's Awards and pioneered the Open Innovation Drug Discovery initiative.
A self-described 'drug hunter' with over 25 years of experience, Chris has advanced more than a dozen molecules into the clinic across oncology, neuroscience, and diabetes, and previously served as CSO at Fulcrum Therapeutics where he led development of a promising sickle cell disease treatment.
Prior to founding Transcripta Bio, Chris held senior leadership roles at Eli Lilly, Merck, and Fulcrum Therapeutics, consistently building data-driven discovery platforms that produced clinical candidates and strategic collaborations.
Transcripta Bio has built a Drug-Gene Atlas from over 200 million experiments mapping thousands of compounds against 20,000 genes, raised $24M in Series A funding, and is advancing IND-enabling studies for neurological diseases including autism spectrum disorder and FSHD.
