Chris Murphy is Co-Founder and CEO at Bluedrop Medical, a medtech company developing AI-powered remote monitoring systems to prevent diabetic foot ulcers and amputations.

Chris holds an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from University of Limerick and worked as an Associate Research and Development Engineer at Medtronic before co-founding Bluedrop Medical in 2015.

Chris has raised over $17 million in funding and is an Irish winner of the James Dyson Design Award and regional winner of Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur award. He is also an angel investor in 5 startups.

Under Chris's leadership, Bluedrop Medical has developed a patented home-based device with over 700 sensors that uses thermal and visual assessment to detect early signs of diabetic foot ulcers.

Bluedrop Medical's solution targets a $3 billion global market and could save the Irish health service $40 million per year on diabetic foot ulcer treatments, helping prevent hundreds of thousands of amputations worldwide.
