Cooper Niu is Co-Founder and CTO at SuperRadiant, a pioneering hard-tech company building Embodied Scientific Intelligence (ESI) through general-purpose robotic experimentalists backed by Y Combinator.

Cooper is an AI researcher with deep expertise in theoretical and computational physics, symbolic AI, and reasoning LLMs, trained at Brown University, where he developed his focus on teaching AI the principles of theoretical physics.

Cooper's core insight is that every form of intelligence in nature is embodied, and that AI must develop its own physical intuition to unlock new frontiers of scientific discovery.

He co-founded SuperRadiant alongside Owen Tower, PhD, and Benedict Quartey, bringing together a team from Brown, NASA JPL, Fermilab, CERN, and Boston Dynamics RAI to build systems that unite scientific reasoning with physical action.

SuperRadiant, part of the YC F26 batch, is building holistic robotic systems that retrofit into existing scientific workflows, bringing rigor and reproducibility to experimental science at scale.
