Cooper is Co-Founder at Kyten Technologies, a Y Combinator-backed aerospace battery manufacturing company building custom aerospace-grade battery packs for drones, submarines, and satellites. He brings over 6 years of aerospace industry experience from SpaceX and Shield AI.

Cooper holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Electronics from the University of Washington. In six years, he went from an intern at Tesla to building and leading 30+ person engineering teams at SpaceX and Shield AI.

At SpaceX, Cooper managed the Starlink Hardware Test team, developing automated test stands for all satellite components. At Shield AI, he started the Hardware Test Team from scratch and grew it to over 20 people in under a year.

Cooper and co-founder Lucas Maddox spent a combined eight years at Starlink and Shield AI, helping produce and deploy more than 6,000 battery packs to low earth orbit. Their expertise addresses the legacy aerospace supply chain that cannot keep up with demand for 100,000+ autonomous vehicles.

Kyten Technologies delivers high-volume aerospace-grade battery packs in weeks instead of the industry standard 12+ months. The company is backed by Y Combinator and is building a factory in Seattle to bring rapid development and volume production to the entire aerospace industry.
