Dan Kindler is Co-Founder and CTO at Bound, an automated FX risk management platform helping businesses protect themselves from currency volatility. Bound serves hundreds of businesses globally and has processed over $1 billion in transaction volume.
Dan studied Computer Science at the University of Pittsburgh and worked in Engineering and Product at Paxos, where he built hedging software that processed trillions of dollars worth of trades within the first year. He has been building software since age 12.
Dan co-founded Bound after seeing his father and friends struggle with currency risk management, inspired by his experience building solutions for professional hedgers at Paxos. The company received FCA authorization in December 2022 to provide regulated hedging products.
Bound raised a $24.5 million Series A in February 2026 led by AlbionVC, following a $6.5 million seed round from investors including Valar Ventures, Notion Capital, and Moonfire. The platform traded nearly $2 billion in 2025.
Bound helps hundreds of businesses manage currency risk through automated hedging strategies that run continuously in the background. The platform makes professional-grade FX hedging accessible without the complexity traditionally associated with banks and brokers.
