Dan Kondratyuk is Co-Founder of rekursiv.ai, an ML Research Scientist building autonomous AI Scientists that form hypotheses, run experiments, and discover new knowledge through multimodal foundation models.
Dan earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Boise State University (Summa Cum Laude) and a Joint M.S. in Computational Linguistics via an Erasmus Mundus scholarship at Charles University in Prague and Saarland University, where his thesis won the Best Master's Thesis award.
Dan is the first author of VideoPoet, a multimodal LLM for zero-shot video and audio generation that won the ICML 2024 Best Paper Award, and he holds over 1,500 Google Scholar citations with an h-index of 9.
Prior to rekursiv.ai, Dan spent four years at Google Research contributing to MoViNets, Multimodal Mixture-of-Experts models, and large-scale LLM infrastructure, then joined Luma AI as a Research Scientist where he co-developed the generative video models powering Dream Machine.
Rekursiv.ai's autonomous systems have already invented new ML methods and algorithms that significantly beat state-of-the-art benchmarks at a fraction of the cost, with the founding team bringing nearly 30 years of combined research experience from Google, DeepMind, and Luma AI.
