Daniel Kelly is Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer at NewDays, a Seattle-based AI health company pioneering telehealth cognitive rehabilitation for individuals with dementia and mild cognitive impairment.
Daniel built his engineering career at Google X and Amazon Grand Challenges, leading teams at the frontier of moonshot technology, and holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and a B.S. in Physics from James Madison University.
Driven by a deeply personal connection to dementia, with five of his father's six siblings affected by the disease, Daniel has spent his career bridging advanced technology and real-world healthcare impact.
Alongside co-founder Babak Parviz (creator of Google Glass), Daniel co-launched NewDays in 2024, licensing a Harvard clinical trial methodology to power their AI companion 'Sunny' for cognitive therapy.
NewDays has raised $11.5M in Seed funding from General Catalyst and Madrona, and its platform addresses a crisis where 1 in 3 Americans over 65 face serious cognitive challenges.
