Dave McGovern is Co-Founder and COO at Entity, a next-generation browser-based gaming distribution platform headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, bringing console-quality games to the open web with no downloads or installs.

Dave co-founded Digit Game Studios in 2012, which grew into Ireland's largest game developer and creator of the hit title Star Trek Fleet Command, before being acquired by gaming powerhouse Scopely in 2019.

With a proven track record of building billion-dollar game franchises and delivering multiple high-profile exits, Dave brings rare operational depth to the intersection of gaming technology and platform distribution.

At Entity, Dave serves as COO alongside CEO Rich Barnwell and CTO Kev Bergin, driving operations for a platform set to launch in 2027 and backed by leading Irish VCs ACT, Delta Partners, and Elkstone.

Entity raised a 5 million Euro seed round to power a click-and-play gaming experience targeting the largest global gaming audience, leveraging breakthrough web standards including WebGPU and WebAssembly.
