Dave Sutter is Co-Founder and CEO of OpenTrade, a London-based institutional-grade stablecoin yield infrastructure platform enabling fintechs and exchanges to offer RWA-backed yield products at scale.
Prior to OpenTrade, Dave and co-founder Jeff Handler worked at Centre, the now-dissolved Circle and Coinbase consortium responsible for standards governance of the USDC stablecoin, where Dave worked directly with over 50 of the world's largest financial institutions on designing and scaling blockchain-based products.
Dave traces his journey from building early Bitcoin wallets and launching one of the first dollar-backed stablecoins to founding OpenTrade in 2023, driven by a bold conviction that stablecoin market capitalization will exceed $10 trillion within the next decade.
OpenTrade has raised over $30 million in total funding, including a $17 million strategic round led by Mercury Fund and Notion Capital, with participation from a16z Crypto, AlbionVC, and CMCC Global.
OpenTrade has surpassed $200 million in total value locked, processed over $250 million in transaction volume in 2025, and is on pace to exceed $1 billion by end of 2026, serving fintech clients across Latin America, Europe, and beyond.
