Dennis Ren is Co-Founder and CEO of Neuron Industries, a Y Combinator-backed company building the world's first purpose-built AI industrial controller to replace legacy PLCs running machines and factories.
Dennis earned a BSEE from UC San Diego and went on to serve as a founding electrical engineer at Freeform, where he built the hardware tech stack and scaled the world's most advanced metal 3D printing factory to production.
Dennis brings rare cross-industry hardware depth, having been a founding team member on Apple Vision Pro's System EE team, owning eye tracking and Optic ID subsystems form factor and board design.
Prior to Neuron Industries, Dennis held engineering roles at Tesla's Fremont factory, Amazon Go, and Apple across iPad Pro and Pencil programs, giving him a uniquely broad foundation in frontier hardware systems.
Neuron Industries publicly launched in August 2026 with its flagship Cortex AIC controller already in paid customer pilots, compressing controls projects from weeks to hours and targeting manufacturers across sectors from chemical processing to nuclear reactors.
