Dr. Harold "Sonny" White is the Founder and CEO of Casimir, Inc., a quantum energy technology company pioneering the world's first semiconductor chips that harvest persistent electrical power from quantum vacuum fields.
Sonny spent nearly two decades at NASA as an advanced propulsion researcher, leading the celebrated EagleWorks Lab and serving as Director of Advanced Research and Development at the Limitless Space Institute (LSI), where Casimir's technology was incubated.
Sonny's breakthrough insight that the quantum vacuum is mutable, not fixed, led him to engineer customized Casimir cavity structures into semiconductor hardware, culminating in a peer-reviewed paper published in Physical Review Research in March 2026.
At NASA and DARPA, Sonny led multidisciplinary teams on frontier propulsion and power technologies, from fusion propulsion and space warp concepts to DARPA-funded nanofabrication research that directly underpins Casimir's chip architecture.
Casimir closed a $12M oversubscribed seed round led by Scout Ventures, with backing from Tim Draper and others, targeting a $10B ultra-low-power electronics market with its MicroSparc chip slated for commercial launch in 2028.
