Aarush Yadav is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Subvocal Company, a Y Combinator-backed hard tech startup building a discreet wearable that decodes silently mouthed speech into text and computer commands. He leads hardware sensing, embedded firmware development, fundraising strategy, and go-to-market planning.
Aarush is a computer science and biomedical engineering student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he built early expertise in hardware-software integration and machine learning. He and co-founder Arnav Kumar built an early prototype at Stanford's TreeHacks in February 2026 using muscle-sensing electrodes, then moved to San Francisco to pursue it full-time.
Aarush believes the next great leap in computing will come from a radically new human-machine interface, not just smarter AI. His prototypes have demonstrated silent text-entry speeds above 200 words per minute, signaling a meaningful step beyond keyboards and voice.
Prior to Subvocal, Aarush co-founded GreenSat, an agri-tech startup that raised $250K and scaled to over $2M in ARR, and also co-founded Markhint. He has held roles at Digi Yatra Foundation, Greensat Innovation Labs, and the College of Computing at Georgia Tech.
The Subvocal Company raised $1.3M in pre-seed funding from Afore Capital, Y Combinator, and angel investors, placing it in the upper tier of pre-seed rounds for its stage. The company is part of Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch and is actively hiring to bring its wearable from research prototype to real-world product.
