
Aashish Manglik, MD, PhD, is Co-Founder of Stipple Bio and an Associate Professor at UCSF, recognized as a 2026 Vilcek Prize winner for his transformative work in cellular signaling and GPCR biology.
He earned his BA in Biology and Chemistry summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, followed by a combined MD and PhD in Biophysics from Stanford University, where he trained under Nobel laureate Brian Kobilka.
Manglik was featured in Scientific American's 30 under 30 in 2013, received the Amgen Young Investigator Award in 2022, and was named a Bowes Biomedical Investigator at UCSF in 2024, reflecting his standing as a leading physician-scientist.
Alongside co-founder Aaron Ring of Fred Hutch, Manglik co-founded Stipple Bio in 2022 to translate GPCR and epitope biology into next-generation cancer therapies, and also co-founded Epiodyne and serves on the scientific advisory board of Septerna.
Stipple Bio emerged from stealth in April 2026 with a heavily oversubscribed $100M Series A co-led by RA Capital, a16z Bio+Health, and Nextech Invest, and is advancing its lead ADC candidate STP-100 toward clinical trials in early 2027.
