Akshay studied Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Rice University and built deep payer expertise at Bain and Company, advising health plan executives on growth strategy, and at Bain Capital, investing in innovative care delivery platforms.

Akshay brings a uniquely payer-centric perspective, having held executive roles at mPulse as SVP of Operations and as Chief Strategy Officer at Presence, a virtual behavioral health provider serving children and schools nationwide.

Under Akshay's leadership, Onos Health raised a $17M Series A led by Costanoa with strategic investment from CVS Health Ventures and Flare Capital Partners, following an earlier $6.3M seed round.

Onos Health's platform has been adopted by 3 of the 6 largest health plans in the United States, including Aetna, bringing measurable clinical quality and affordability improvements to behavioral health populations at scale.
