Alex is Co-Founder and CEO of Zenithon, a London-based AI lab building world models for extreme physics to speed up simulation in fusion, aerospace and semiconductors.
Alex left a PhD in machine learning for plasma physics at the Universities of Cambridge and Manchester to start the company. He previously spent three years on techno-economic analysis with leading fusion companies and worked at Woodruff Scientific.
Alex joined the King's E-Lab SPARK 1.0 incubator at Cambridge as a solo founder and co-founded Zenithon with plasma physicist Abetharan Antony. He led development of the first cross-regime open-source fusion costing model with Clean Air Task Force.
Zenithon was founded in July 2025 and raised a $10M seed round led by Backed VC, with Seraphim, Lunar Ventures, MMC Ventures and SOSV participating. Alex leads a team that includes researchers behind foundational methods such as neural operators and physics-informed machine learning.
Zenithon's models aim to let engineers search a million design points in the time one conventional simulation takes. The company is focused first on fusion energy, with plans to expand into rockets, propulsion and chip fabs and to grow its team in the US.
