Alex LeBrun is CEO of Advanced Machine Intelligence (AMI), the world-model AI venture co-founded with Turing Award laureate Yann LeCun, and serves as Chief AI Scientist and Chairman at Nabla, the clinical AI company he co-founded.
A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and Telecom Paris, LeBrun has been building AI-native companies for over two decades, starting with VirtuOz in 2003 and Wit.ai in 2013, both of which he successfully exited.
LeBrun led Facebook's AI Research (FAIR) engineering division before co-founding Nabla in 2018, giving him a rare combination of frontier research leadership and serial entrepreneurship.
At Nabla, he scaled the clinical AI platform to over 150 health systems across 35 languages, raising $120M including a $70M Series C, before transitioning to lead AMI.
AMI raised a landmark $1.03B seed round at a $3.5B valuation, backed by NVIDIA, Temasek, Eric Schmidt, and others, to build next-generation world-model AI systems beyond LLMs.
